Goals and program

  • To assist students in attaining and understanding the principles of Acupuncture, Chinese Herb, and Massage Therapy and seeing the function of the paradigm in every day life.
  • To encourage academic excellence in staff and students alike.
  • To prepare study to meet all of the qualifying examinations and regulations concerning acupuncture, chinese herb, and massage therapy as such regulations and licensing comes to force.
  • To prepare students to become responsible health care providers, and able practitioners.
  • To encourage the continuing studies of Chinese medicine and support ongoing research into its efficiency.
  • Acupuncture program pass mark: 60%; Massaga program pass mark: 75%; Chinese Herb program pass mark: 60%

After the acupuncture and herbal students graduate, they will take the National Exam, Pan – Canadian examination. This examination is set up by five regulatory provinces. (BC, AB, ON, NF, QC). When students pass the national exam “Pan – Canadian examination”, they receive acupuncture license or herbal license, they can practice in the above five regulatory provinces and non regulatory provinces of Canada.

In Manitoba: Massage Therapy Association of Manitoba (MTAM), recognized our school massage therapy program, see website www.mtam.mb.ca. The Massage therapy students that graduate will be able to register and be a member of MTAM. In Manitoba all private insurance companies will cover members of MTAM practice. Eg: Blue Cross, Great West Life, Manu Life and so on.
