Basic Theories of Traditional Chinese Medicine: This course will include the following topics:yin, yang, five elements,five zang-viscera, lung, spleen, liver, kidney, vital gate, six Fu-viscera,qi, blood, body fluid, six pathological mechanisms, principles of treatment and prevention. This course will include clinical observation.

Diagnostics of Traditional chinese Medicine: This course will include the following topics: observations, Auscultation and olfaction, interrogations, palpation, the eitht principle syndromes differentiation, etiological syndrome differentitation, qi, blood and body fluid syndrome differentiation, visceral syndrome differentitation of exogenous diseases and medical record. This course will include clinical observation.

Anatomy and Physiology: This course deals with the fundamental principles of anatomy, physiology, reproduction and development. It deals with biolobical theories and practices using humans as the principal examples. This course will be taken at the University of Winnipeg of the University of Manitoba.

Psychology: This course providers and intoduction to the scientific analysis of behaviour and mental activity from the biological, social and individual perspectives. Major topics include: perception, movivation, learning, memory, intelligence, personality, states of consciousness,social interaction, developmental processes, hereditary and environmental influences, abnormal psychology and therapeutic methods. Students will participate directly in the department's ongoing research program. This course will be taken at the University of Winnipeg or the University of Manitoba.

Basic Theories of Acupuncture: Basic Theories of Acupuncture: This course includes hiostory of acupuncture the channel's and collateral's eight extra meridians channels, main symptoms of 14 channels. This course will include lab.

Acupuncture Points: The fourteen channels and their points, location and functions specific points(five shu, yuan, luo, mu,eight converging, xi, Low-he,eight confluent points and crossing points). This course will include lab.

Basic Theories of Chinese Massage: This course includes technique of Chinese massage, ,main function and principles. It also includes the twenty-five methods, which are: roll,dig,press,rub,nie ji,push, grasp,pluck,knead,vibrate,drag,chafe,rub-roll, pinch, tweak, flick, knock, pat, hammer, tread,stretch,shake rotation, bend and extension. This course will include lab.

General Introduction to Acupuncture Treatment: This course includes the general principles of acupuncture treatment, point prescription and applications of ear points and scale points. This course will include lab.

History of Chinese medicine: This course includes the Chinese Medicine history and development including history of acupuncture, Chinese herbs and Chinese massage. As well as teaching about famous Chinese medical doctors in different dynasties and famous works.

Basic theories of swedish(western) massage: This course covers basic anatomy, palpation, land-marking and kinesiology. The techniques of western massage are taught as well as draping, ethics, contraindications and report writing. At the end of the course, the student will be able to perform a basic massage on a generally healthy adult. There is a lab included.
   
111 Clinical Education 1: This course includes respiratory common disease etiology, pathogenesis, exercise treatments and pharmacology. This course also includes teaching vital signs and reading lab results.    
112 Practical Anatomy and Physiology : This course will teach the students about anatomy, physiology and kinesiology of the body that is under their hands. The course will focus on anatomical structurs; the muscles, tendons, ligaments, bones, nerves and blood vessels. Kinesiology will be taught, showing how the anatomy creates movement. There will be reading required pre-class so the class will run smoothly. Notes will be provided in advance of class and students must come to class prepared as the class will move fairly quickly. The student will be exposed to skeletons, posters, and will be required to create flash cards to explore the body. They will also be exposed to feeling the anatomical structures on each other and with people brought in as demonstrations. This course will also include lab.

Clinical Acupuncture therapy of common diseases: This course includes how to treat infectious, respiratory, digestive, circulatory, urogenital, motor system, neurotic, mental and diseases with acupuncture. This course will also include lab and practice.

Traditional Chinese Medicine Classic:This course includes: Emperor's Canon of Medicine (nei'jing), Treatise on exogenous Febrile disease (shang ban lun) and Seasonal Febrile Disease(wen bing).

The Chinese Materia Medica:This course includes basic herbal theories for relieving extenorsyndromes such as: heat-clearing herbs, purgatives herbs, anti-rheumatics-aromatic herbs for resolving dampness, herbs for inducing diuresis and excreting dampness, herbs for warming the interior, herbs for regulating qi. herbs for removing food stagnation^ anthelmmtics. homeostatic herbs for promoting blood circulation and relieving blood stasis, herbs resolving phlegm and relieving cough and asthma, tranquilizers. herbs for calming the liver and checking wind. herbs for resuscitation, tonics for deficiency syndromes, astringents and herbs for external use and others. This course will include clinical observation and lab.

Formulas of Traditional Chinese Medicine: This course includes the relationship of formulae to syndrome differentiation and establishment of therapies, design of formula, classifications of formulae, preparation of the formulae, administration of Formulae and elaboration. This course requires prerequisites on 204. This course will include lab and practice.

Orthopedic Assessment: this course include measurement of range of motion, manual muscle testing, and special tests. Principles and concepts related to human body include-applied anatomy, patient history, observation and examination. This course requires prerequisite of 103.

Chinese Medicine Management: This course includes the Canadian medical system, personal care components, acupuncture by law, private insurance system, acupuncture marketing and private practice management.

Swedish(western)massage of clinical diagnosis and treatment: This course goes deeper into the anatomy, physiology and kinesiology of injuries. Mechanisms of injury, rehabilitation principles, and common joint dysfunctions will be taught. Advanced techniques will be used for targeting specific structures to effect physical, neurological and morphological change. Joint mobilizations, isotonic and isometric stretching will be covered. Emphasis is made on assessment techniques so the student will be able to treat specific dysfunctions and gauge the results of their applied therapy. There is a lab included in this course.

Practice of Chinese Medicine Herb-part (Internship): 450 hours period of clinic/practical under the direction and supervision of registered Chinese medical doctor. Course evaluated on a pass/fail basis. Prerequisites: 204, 205, 310, 311, 312, 313, 314.

Practice of Chinese Massage (Internship): 450 hours period of clinical/practical Chinese massage and Swedish massage under the direction and supervision of registered Chinese medical doctors or senior registered massage therapists. Course evaluated on a pass/fail basis. Prerequisites: 107, 110, 202, 209.

Practice of Acupuncture (Internship): 450 hours period of clinical/practical acupuncture under the direction and supervision of registered Chinese medical doctors. Course evaluated on a pass/fail basis. Prerequisites: 105, 106, 108, 201, 301, 302, 303, 304, 305, 306, 307.
